Magellan eXplorist XL - Free NiMH Batteries

Featuring the largest screen on a rugged hand held GPS; the eXplorist XL’s extra large 3.5” full colour TFT LCD screen allows easy viewing of the finest details, even in bright outdoor conditions.

Compatible with Magellan certified DiscoverAus Streets & Tracks Topo mapping on SD card*, you can easily view major and minor roads, streets, tracks, trails, and topographic map contour lines for all of Australia.

By adding MapSend BlueNav XL3 Oceania marine charts on SD card* you can use your eXplorist XL as a designated chart plotter, and again clearly view the different coloured regions on the screen.

Plus with the included software MapSend Lite V2, you can view maps in 2D or 3D mode, plan routes in advance or view track logs on the big screen of your PC. Available as a free download, you can find out more about MapSend Lite V2 or access the download via the MapSend Lite V2 link.

The extra large 3.5” colour screen and larger key pad makes the eXplorist XL more user friendly for those with less nimble fingers, declining eye site, or just when kept at a distance, such as when driving a vehicle.

USB connectivity allows fast data transfer between the PC and GPS for connecting with MapSend Lite V2, transferring points of interest, or downloading Geocache coordinate to the Geocache manager.

The eXplorist XL has both internal and expandable SD card memory, providing unlimited storage for waypoints, points of interest and route files, and runs off four AA batteries while mobile or 12V cigarette lighter (not included) whilst mounted in the car.

The eXplorist XL is water resistant, lightweight, and constructed with impact resistant plastic making it great for all conditions. The use of TrueFix technology also ensures a safer journey, by minimising signal loss and providing maximum accuracy and reliability.

The eXplorist XL also features area calculation, allowing you to find the distance around or between three or more points of interest.
