A compact Bluetooth hands-free kit designed for new generation in-vehicle multimedia systems
After the wave of MP3 and multimedia, modern car stereos are featuring an increasing number of communicating functions. Connectivity with mobile phones is one of the key features that will shape in-vehicle communication over the next few years, including for navigation systems.
The CK5000 boasts a compact design and offers excellent performance:
maximum audio quality over the car's speakers, personal data synchronisation, voice recognition, capability of checking text messages, music streaming on the car stereo and easy integration into your applications.
The turnkey Bluetooth hands-free function at the best price
Parrot is offering a cost-effective turnkey solution. Thanks to the design-to-cost initiative and the years of experience acquired with its wide range of Bluetooth hands-free kits, the CK5000 enhances the car stereo with a Bluetooth hands-free function, even for entry-level car stereos.
Integration with the user interface
The host LCD screen (car stereo or navigation system) uses the CK5000 to display the mobile phone's battery level and signal strength, the phonebook, the call records and the caller's identity. The volume scroll wheel is also used to adjust the sound during a conversation and browse through the voice menus. The car stereo's keys control the hands-free kit's functions. The car stereo communicates with the CK5000 by means of a serial link.
Voice recognition
Drivers say a name and the car stereo automatically dials the corresponding number, without any need for them to search in their bag or pockets for the phone. The voice recognition feature works with more than 500 names pre-recorded by the user. Voice commands, such as "phone home" and "hang up", complete the system's capabilities. Playback of music stored on the Bluetooth mobile phone or MP3 player. With the CK5000, users can stream music from their Bluetooth mobile phone or MP3 player to their car stereo and listen to the tracks through the car's speakers, without any wiring required (depending on the compatibilities and audio formats used by the different brands of mobile phone and MP3 player).
A universal hands-free solution with software updates
The CK5000 is compatible with Bluetooth® phones and MP3 players and can take advantage of the regular updates available by Bluetooth or CD.
